seeking chili recipes & suggestions

I want to make chili tomorrow. I’ve never done it before and my cooking skills are very limited. I want to make a bunch and freeze some. I’m open to making it on the stovetop or in the Crockpot. I don’t care how quick and easy it is – I have time to babysit/prepare it if necessary.

I like beef chili with a smooth red/tomato base that’s not too spicy. I hope that makes sense…some chili is really dark brown, thick, and pasty - I don’t like chili like that.

Thank you for any suggestions!

These are my 2 favorites; I make them both in the crock pot and my hubby and son love them! I usually make cornbread to go with them.

Don't omit the cloves in this one, it adds a wonderful warm kick!

My personal favorite http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2009...ns-recipe.html I just leave out the chili powder and fresh peppers. My whole family likes it.

This is my fave:

You could use beef instead of turkey; we use turkey because it's cheaper.
