Finally saw it last night. It was good. Needs a little more humor. But we'll keep watching. Alan Tudyk's playing a bad guy! That was a good twist, I didn't see it coming.

Totally agreed! That priest is just entirely too good-looking! Glamorous bottle-blonde FBI agent, gorgeous alien black guy.

Dh says the news caster guy looks a little like Michael J. Fox. I think he looks a little like Eric Stoltz in BSG Caprica.

I agree that somewhat. I think that the V were supposed to be perfect looking because they aren't "real" people. But the other characters are a bit too perfect looking. The son was a bit outdated for the part, meaning for a modern made version of the show.

But if they were really ugly, some people may have a hard time watching.

Ok, I agree that maybe for the "Visitors" they should look "perfect" as looking as much like humans is their disguise. However for the real humans, give me some flaws! Look at Lost, Heros, and the other shows... Even some of the main characters had some realistic looking "flaws". Yeah...even Sawyer...mmmm...

I agree though about preferring "real" good looking people. And Sawyer is a perfect example!

Scott Wolf from party of five. He's aged strangely. He looks like he's had bad plastic surgery, or something.

I liked it okay. I think the first epi should have been 2 hours.

The spaceship with its hexagonal panels reminded me of the one in Chicken Little.

I thought it was pretty good. Like the PP, I would have liked to see a two-hour premiere for more character development.

I too thought that was so odd that they made a point of saying how Vs are all attrative, when all the humans are, too. There was a very real looking man behind Scott Wolf right then, or else I would have just laughed out loud. Still!

We really enjoyed it.

Don't know what I think yet. Loved the original miniseries as a kid.

I was very anti- the new Battlestar Galactica when my DH made me watch it, but now it's one of my all time favorites, so I have hope I'll like this too.

Liked the surprises at the end. Those were the best parts. My DH kept calling Scott Wolf - "Michael J. Fox." I explained that in no way could that be Michael J. Fox, as he is older than we are. (And he has Parkinson's disease, which has put him in a wheelchair, right?) DH lives in the eighties sometimes... (I also agree about Scott Wolf aging weirdly. Definitely a possible case of bad plastic surgery!)

Just watched it this morning on Hulu. Not sure what I think. I rewatched some of the old episodes of the Original on Youtube to catch up. Of course there is a lot of similarities. The young man in the "Ambassador program", the doctor, priest, cop (FBI agent), rouge alien etc. in the resisitence.

Not sure what I think yet. It wasn't as gripping as the Flash Forward pilot. Would have like to see a two hour pilot too.

Yep. The hexagon shaped panels in the alien ships inspired some giggles here.

I know! Everyone is good looking. It doesn't make much sense when people are all "wow you are all good looking blah blah blah" when the main characters are also good looking. At least in Heroes you see some not-necessarily-stereotypically-perfect characters. (who are still nice looking in their own right )

I couldn't stop thnking that everone was a "v". Drove me crazy and kind of distracted me from enjoying the show. I think the old proest is a V too.

I was kind of disapointed with the show last night. I fet like these was so little covered and was just watching pointless stuff like the warehouse investigation. It is like they took an hour to show what could have been covered in 10 min. Blah, blah.

Still wont keep me from watching next week though.

I think the older priest is V, I just have a gut feeling on that one.

I too kept looking at everyone and wondering if they were V, I think that maybe the FBI agent who visited the younger priest about the guy who was murdered was V too.

At least in the original V you pretty much knew who was V and who wasn't, how the heck are they going to be able to tell in this one besides cutting into everyone they meet??
