Fabric book pattern?

Hey all, I'm looking for pattern to make a fabric book for my niece and nephew this Christmas. Any suggestions? I would really like books that have different textures, sounds, etc. I guess I envision an animal theme, but I'm open for anything. My sewing skills are probably intermediate; my DH is a very good sewer so something a bit challenging could probably be handled. TIA.

Are you looking for something like this which outlines the construction part of it?

You could vary the fabrics for a different theme.

That's great! I wish I had seen that before I made ds' birthday book. That is SO much nicer than my version - felt was not the way to go.
