Vitamin C drops for infant

Hi,

Ds is about to get a vax and I want to follow Sears recommendation of 150 mg Vit C but I'm having problems finding drops for infants. I can find the tablets but not the drops. I searched archives here and couldn't find it. What do you use for your babies?

Thanks,
Penny

How old is he? The best thing is Sodium Ascorbate powder. Mix it in pretty much any fluid.
Also, hylands makes vit c tablets for children you can dissolve that in water too.

Sorry, I should've said, he's nearly 5 months and EBF. He won't take a bottle so it needs to be drops or concentrated enough that he can get it from my finger or breast. Any ideas?

dissolve one in a syringe and ease it in while you nurse.

I have a liquid C supp. for babies but I think it says for 6 mos and up. I can check on brand if you're still interested I ordered mine online it comes in plastic bottle and I think grapefruit extract is one of the preservatives if I remember right.

Later I ordered sodium ascorbate powder from this site

Thanks, that would be great if it's not too much trouble. I've looked around and can't seem to find any.

Ok I ran to check, its not in plastic. Its in a dark colored glass bottle about 4 1/2" high. It is by "CHILDLFE" and says "liquid vitamin C" orange flavor, the main ingredient is "ascorbic acid" and there is 250 mg in one teaspoon. the other ingredients are:

purified water, fructose, glycerine, potassium bicarbonate, grapefruit seed extract, potassium sorbate, xanthan, natural orange flavor

suggested use for infants 6mo to 1 yr: 1/4 tsp daily
children 1-4 yrs: 1/2-1 tsp daily
5-12 yrs: 1-2 tsp daily

There is a website on the bottle:

You can mix it into 1-2 tsp water and use a medicine syringe to squirt into the mouth.
