Not sure if this is the place to put this but was wondering if anyone here has heard of them or used one of them?

What is your opinion? Are they for real? I was watching an advert today for one that cost about ÂŁ20 and that is supposed to do about 1000 washes! Thats a lot of washes, I think for 20 quid!

I have one from H2O at Home. It seems to work well for me, but laundry is something I am not overly picky about. I do know someone who does cloth diapers and after she started using her laundry ball the really bad ammonia stink went away. I did cloth, had the ammonia stink and it is BAD.

The ceramic balls are supposed to change the characteristics of the water and make the rinse better. Ammonia stink is caused by build up in the fibers, so I can only assume the balls did in fact make the rinse better and got rid of the build up.

I also have the same type of thing for my dishwasher, and it got rid of my hard water spots on my glasses.
