What the... grrr.

I have been having ctx every 5 min since 7:00 this morning, lasting 35-45 seconds. I thought my water may have been leaking so we called the hospital and they told us to come in. So, we got the bags packed just in case, and got the dogs and DD over to my MIL's house. They checked me- 2cm dialated, only 25% effaced. They saw that my water had not broken. They monitored me for a few hours and my ctx were 5-7 min apart. The nurse told me they would probably have me walk to see if the ctx got stronger or weaker... but the doctor said no it wasn't necessary. So naturally, I get home and my ctx are 3-5min.

They told they need to be 5 min apart for an hour, lasting a minute each. They are getting barely bareable. When I walk, they definitely get stronger and more frequent. Maybe I should walk. I really want a nap but that is a lost cause at this point...

So, my last 2 ctx were 6 minutes apart. I wish they would just stay steady!! And I forgot how painful they were. My MIL is taking DD overnight tonight in case we have to leave again for the hospital in the middle of the night....

In the words of my husband, I am so tired I want to punch myself in the face. (He said that about himself, not me, BTW).

BTW, we are timing with www.contractionmaster.com. I love it- it is so much easier than a stopwatch because you can see every contraction you have had. But don't make the mistake I made- I clicked on FAQ and lost all my info yesterday. But, you can print out your ctx and bring them with you!

I will keep you all posted.

Good luck! If it is still early labour though (which it sounds like it is) don't wear yourself out by walking too much. Try to relax as much as you can. I know sleep is impossible, but if you can zen out between contractions by listening to music or something you can get some energy back.
I'll be looking for a baby update!!
