betas came in!

17dpo: hcg 3413
19dpo: hcg 7386
doubling time = approx 42 hours
progesterone 33.3 (they wanted to see it above 12)

so, those high hormone levels totally explain the excess of symptoms. I'm breathing a bit easier, and will be even more relieved when I see the heartbeat on the u/s next week.

Upon further looking around, these numbers seem really high. Anyone know?

Did you look at betabase? It's a fantastic resource for this stuff.

Had mine done and I was at around 1300 at 17 DPO. I had a doubling time of 30 hrs (which means by the next day I would be around 2500 or so). Considering how quickly they double, being one day off on your ovulation time can really through comparisons off. I think your numbers are high, but not so high that you should be worried. What are you worried about, twins?

Congratulations on the happy numbers!!!

I got mine today, too.
At 16 dpo (last Friday) I had 492 and was up to 3110 by 19 dpo (yesterday). According to this site my doubling time was approx. 27 hours. The office is pretty happy and I think the numbers look suspiciously normal. Tomorrow is our second u/s and hopefully there will be something to see this time. I do wonder about the hcg levels reported at that site for twins and multiples as well as singleton pg's . . .

I just got the results from my blood draw yesterday. At 18 DPO, my HCG was 11,000. That seems really high! I have my next blood draw tomorrow, so we'll see if it's doubling as it should. I feel so relieved about the high number because it means that this pregnancy is probably not ectopic like the last one was. I am a little worried about twins though! Yikes!

Great numbers ladies!!

So I got the results from my second blood draw. At 18 DPO my HCG was at 11,000 and at 20 DPO it was 19,150. My OB wants to do an ultrasound next week because it didn't quite double. According to betabase my doubling time was 60 hours. At first I was worried, but when I looked at the charts on betabase, that doubling time seemed normal with numbers that high. What do you ladies think? Does the doubling time slow as the numbers get higher?

got my numbers back........17 dpo hcg is 1066, and they didn't do a doubling time.

that seems really low compared to all of you, but on the high end according to beta base.

i have even less confidence in this pregnancy now.

I'm having that same feeling ScarletBegonias...

My 14dpo number was 140 and 16dpo was 332. I thought these numbers were GREAT (having looked at betabase), but then got spooked by the high numbers others have posted on this thread.

I double checked with my midwife and she thought my numbers were "perfect". So I'm going to go with "these numbers are fine for me, and the numbers others have are fine for them" (now if I could just believe it

Chalk me up as another worry-wart mummy

i agree, the doctor's office said my numbers looked like i was 5-6 wks, and i was only 4 wks at the time, so i think i'll try your mantra!

i've been reading about the nocebo effect in gentle birth, gentle mothering, and it is so very true. as soon as i asked for one little beta test, i've been stressed out all week. sure, the test is *supposed* to make me feel better, but i'm anxious until i get the results, and now the results are making me nervous.

I can't even get a positive on a wussy pregnancy test yet. I have to go the uber-fancy route. It was like this last time too. I hope we get to stick to this crowd together.

When were your previous and today's numbers drawn? What were your previous numbers?
