So much for trying to lower my bills

So I went out and bought some weather strips for our dront and back doors, the kind you stick into the door jam to stop drafts. Well the only cost like $5 each and I bought 2. I didi the first door, all prod of myself and the stupis door would not close! I tried taking off some of the strip but ended up having to take it all off. Luckily I only wasted one package and will take the unused one back tomorrow. But I am confused because I got the thinest strip b/c the gap is small but it's still to thick and there is a draft. Is there nothing I can do to stop the draft? Go figure, this kind of stuff always happens to me when I try and do it myself instead of bpther dh with yet another thing, oh well.

Can you just use a heavy-duty draft dodger on the inside? I grew up in a very old stone farm house (read: cold and very drafty) and we used these on a few of the doors... And they did help somewhat.

Oh, I hate it when I do things like that! And I have plenty of experience, sigh... I've gotten better about planning ahead in whatever way(s) I need to, but I totally hear you! Hope you can get those drafts taken care of.
