my girl was born nov 1st at 3:11 am 7lbs 2 oz 19 inches long. natural water birth at the hospital. we barely made it there. birth story coming soon. blissin' out!!
my water broke at 7:00 on halloween night and it was on. contractions were coming about 5 min's apart and were only in my back. i ate a good meal and tried to chill the best i could. then my contractions started getting longer and stronger. we live about an hour from our hospital and had planned to have our doula come here first, and we could decide when to go to the hospital together. so she got here and i was in active labor for sure. she tried to check my cervix but couldn't feel it. i dedided that it was time to go to the hospital, since we had an hour drive and my contractions were so intense and right on top of one another. my sweet sweet man made me the best pallet in the back of the van and we took off. that was the worst car ride of my life. the pain was SO intense, and all i could do was scream obsenities and yell and groan. it was very primal and filthy, lol. so we got to the hospital and they got me right up to labor and delivery. they checked me and i was complete and ready to push. my doctor wasn't there and they didn't want me to get into the water until she arrived, so in about 5 mins. she was there and i was in the tub. the contractions hurt so bad. my body was pushing on its own during contractions and with my help after about 5 pushes she was out. she had the cord wrapped twice and it had to be cut, then my man caught her and handed her to me. it was amazing. i tore and had to get a few stitches, but other than that it was great. i can't believe i did it naturally. that was my plan, but let me tell you i was seriously considering the drugs on the car ride. transition in the car is no fun. all in all i would do it a million times again for my sweet baby girl. she is so squishy and i love her more than anything in this world.
