Oversupply to Undersupply?

So, I am back from the DS's lastest well-child visit, and I came out with more questions than when I went in.

My DS has been occasional dry diapers (as in no pee). He has beyond the 4-5 wqets a day and usually poops every day to every other day, though this varies greatly. He is EBF and 11 weeks old. So, he wets and poops enough, but his usual amount of wets has gone down some. Lilke after a nap, he was dry yesterday, weird, right?

I bought this up to my Pedi and she asked if he seemed satisfied after nursing. Well, this is the thing he'll ALWAYS eat. Any time he is awake, really. I don't really get the child that pops off and says no more. He has been gaining right on track, so no worries there. But I AM worried.

So basiscally I had an oversupply about a month and a half ago, and now after block feeding, and I suppose my milk supply settling down, I am now fear UNDER-supply.

Is that possible? If I start up with the teas and the feenugreek again will it go back to oversupply again?

Help..I feel like I have no guidance here! (and also like this all doesn't make sense)

sounds like the block feeding lessened your supply some, as well as your milk is probably settling down. so, he may be taking in less fluid, but that doesn't mean you have undersupply. I would maybe decrease the blocks (maybe do one side per session) and just keep feeding on demand. I wouldn't do the fenugreek or teas just yet. Just follow his lead and if he seems happy, he is probably fine. 12 weeks is a common growth spurt, so if he does start seeming fussier/wanting to nurse more that will probably be why. As long has he has enough wets/poops and is gaining fine, I am sure all is well!

This is right around the time your milk supply should be evening out. If the baby pees and poops enough, gains weight and is healthy there is nothing to worry about. You may FEEL like you have dropped to an undersupply just because you have leveled off from those early weeks of normal oversupply. Don't panic You're doing great!
