I was just curious if anyone else has an indepedent nurser. My guy is 6 weeks old and gets angry at me if I try to offer him my nipple ... he has to self latch to nurse. He uses his hands to get my breast into position from a side lying position and then to get off as well. He turns his head at times I think to feel where my nipple is with his cheek and then latches. He has done this since birth. He was born with his hands outstretched instead of tightly fisted, and he moves them like he is doing Tai Chi. His instincts amaze me. Even if he's on my chest ... he can just radar in and latch. But if I try to help him ... he scolds me! My DD was so totally different and let me help her, and nurse her all the time. Just wondering if this is the norm or if this really is kinda interesting behavior for a newborn.
