Sorry this didn't get created yesterday...
laura-belle, thanks for the new thread! I hope you get a happy surprise while you're waiting and trying naturally.

I had my follow-up regarding my thyroid/vitamin D test and both were fine. It feels satisfying since I have two things marked off the list for testing when I see the RE next Monday. I feel pretty sure they're going to find something when they test (I mean, why else would it take so long?), so narrowing the list is a good thing, right? Happy November everybody!
Just entered the dreaded 2WW. I went back to the Clomid this month and did the Clomid Challenge (don't know the results of that) and the HSG (all clear). Couldn't talk dh into the IUI... If not successful this month, next month we move on the injectables.
Can I join this thread? We've been TTC #2 since Oct '08. I am starting Femara this cycle, I am scheduled for a HSG in a few days and DH is scheduled for a SA.
As soon as my cycle starts (hopefully soon!), I'll be starting femara and planning an IUI. IF (and apparently that's a BIG "if") my ovaries cooperate, that is. Not feeling too hopeful after my appt yesterday.
I got the results of that clomid challenge and I have diminished ovarian reserve. My overal number needed to be less than 26 but it was a 35. She said that doesn't mean I can't get pregnant - but these drugs will not help because my ovaries are already working so hard. Where does that leave me? I have no idea yet. She said the Doctor will get in touch with me to discuss next options within a week.

laura-belle - thanks for being threadkeeper!

tear78 - hope you get answers soon! at least you have ruled some things out as far as hormones?

amberc727 - welcome!

AFM - My doctor (a hormone specialist, not my clueless gyno) had doubled my dosage of progesterone hoping that after I stopped taking it I would start a new cycle. So far that hasn't happened (DAY 81!!). I'm supposed to call him at the end of this week and we will go from there. Also, I have changed my diet and made an appt to meet with an acupuncturist. And does anyone else notice that everyone around you seems to be pregnant???

amberc727: I'm adding you to the list up top. Welcome! I hope your stay here is short .

quetinha: .

Tear78: Hopefully your problem will turn out to be easily fixable. *crossing my fingers*

kristenok18: .

indianagrl:

AFM: We went ahead and made an initial consult appt with a different RE for a second set of testing and opinions. Appointment is 11/23. Maybe this group will have different ideas/options. *shrugs*
post #10 of 36
Can you add me to the list.

I have been TTC since Aug. 08 I have hashimoto's thyroiditis.(auto immune hypothyroid condition) Other than that the RE says Unexplained Infertility.
Which I thought was under control. We were supposed to do clomid with IUI this month but my thyroid #'s came up way off at the RE's, my thyroid doc retested and confirmed they were off so he upped my meds, and now we wait. The RE will not do anything further until my #'s are good.

I'm also seeing an Acu. Which is helping to legnthen my cycles (they were 26 days O on CD 12) I

I'm also doing the diet and supplements from the making babies book (which from a chinese medicine perspective is supposed to help my thyroid also)

INDIANGIRL - I know how you feel about everyone around you being pregs. I have a baby shower on sunday and another on monday ( the one on monday is for their 2nd one the first is only 1yr (they will be 13 months appart) both without trying (they were trying to avoid with the second one) It definitly hurts. The other shower is for my sister, luckily her SIL's love to take over this type of planning so at least I have not had to be involved in all of that.
Hi, everyone! Please add me, too, Laura-belle.

I'm 34 (in a few weeks) and we've been TTC #2 since June '09. I was briefly pregnant in August/Sept, but miscarried. This month is our 4th IUI. I have slightly elevated FSH and a short luteal phase. DH sometimes has subfertile sperm.

I did Femara and trigger and had the IUI yesterday with two decent follicles. DH didn't have any "grade a" sperm, so I'm bummed, but he did have 122 million grade b's, which is supposedly good enough, but I doubt it. I'm just really, really over this whole TTC thing. Ugh.

quetinha -- I hope you get some answers about what to do next.

indianagrl-- here's hoping AF makes an appearance soon! Not often we say that around here.
Ladies- if you want to get away from the constant barrage of pregnant people, head to a college campus. Since I moved here in August I don't think I've had to interact with one pregnant person. It's done wonders for my psyche. Not a possibility for most of you I know, but a nice thought that there is SOMEWHERE where there are few pregnant people

I am swamped with paper writing as I wrap up the end of the semester, less than 4 weeks to go. Plus I've been asked to work on a project with a committee at DH's work as a result of my research interests. But I had a nice positive OPK today, so we made time to take advantage of that...

Thanks Laura-belle for threadkeeping this month!

Kim
thanks Laura-belle!

I realized that I'm horribly out of date up top - could you change my info to read 32, TTC #1 since June of 2008, PCOS + possible endo, clear HSG, using progesterone cream, DH ambivilent due to unemployment

Tear - good luck with the testing!

amberc - welcome!

kristenok -

I had my first run-in with a "If you'd just relax about it, you'd get pregnant" person (guy..) yesterday. not sure I entirely "got it" until then. It didn't help that the two ladies I was hanging out with were "accidental" moms, one of whom actually suggested that maybe the universe was telling me that I was meant to adopt. It's only been 18 months - not even 12 real cycles! And the two of them spent much of the evening talking about how having their kids changed their lives. They're both super-sweet, but...

I was actually thinking about how *few* pregnant ladies I have in my life right now. I'm lucky.

Also, I've been slightly to moderately queasy since... Thursday? Right about when AF ended. But my tests were negative, my temps are down, and AF showed, so it must be stress or some sort of illness.

I called the RE to see if I could still come to my appointment since I've had the flu this weekend, and they said no, and the EARLIEST STUPID APPOINTMENT THEY HAVE FOR ME IS 11/30!!! I'm so crushed. ANOTHER cycle is going to go down the tubes. Oh..and their reason why they don't want me in is because they have to be really careful because they have pregnant women in their office. oh, well, whoopdie doo! good for them! I'll just go back to my pitiful, swine-flu filled, NONpregnant life and keep out of your hair then. I'm so upset. I'm sorry this is all about me, I planned to respond to y'all after my appointment when I had updates. Now I'm just broken again.
Tear78, I understand the disappointment! Hang in there.
thank you for your empathy, quetinha. It appears, now that my tantrum is over that this may be a blessing in disguise. I called another fertility clinic, one that was recommended by a friend but which initially I thought wasn't covered by my insurance. They're going to check, but they probably are covered, and they can see me on Friday. They're supposedly more thorough, more empathetic, and closer to my house. They were also much nicer on the phone. I really hope the insurance piece works out. And if it took this big disappointment to push me over to a better RE, then ok...I swallow my bitter pill.

autumnlaughing, I'm so sorry you were subjected to those ladies. Some people just don't get it, and yet they feel like they should be advising you about it. It makes you want to clock them, but like you said they're just trying to be nice. Stupid nice people. :nana

EastBay, I forgot how it was back when I was in college and pregnancy wasn't all around me! I should go to the local campus coffee shop for an afternoon. I hope you caught that eggie!

Amy, I hope those B sperms found their way in. I totally understand being "over" this whole thing. poo on it all.

stretch: hi! I think acupuncture is awesome. If I had more money I'd be still doing it. Maybe that's what I'll ask for for Christmas.

laura-belle, I hope your appointment is super informative and helpful on the 23rd!!

indianagrl, I hope AF comes for you soon! How frustrating! I think acupuncture will help. Like I said, it's awesome. I felt things inside me responding when I had it done. And yes, everybody at my school is pregnant. I'm a teacher. It sucks. oh, and everybody seems to be glancing at my belly silently asking "knocked up yet?" NO, SHUT UP, silent thoughts!

quetinha, what's the clomid challenge? I'm sorry it didn't give you helpful answers. I hope you find them soon!

kristen, I hope "if" = "yes" Sending you good vibes for your next cycle!

amber, how was the hsg? Any news?

afm: well, back to my flu recuperation. Please don't turn into a sinus infection, please? I feel this hints of it starting. Who thinks I should take the day off tomorrow? I don't have a fever today, but I'm still weak and exhausted. Keep in mind I'm going to have to leave early for my appointment on Friday! oh boy...and writing sub plans sucks. I'm 10dpo today and trying to remain calm as I get my senses back. Please, nature, let me be one of those stories? Y'know, where you have an appointment with a RE after ...say...18 months, but when you get there they tell you to go home cause you're pregnant? C'mon, is that too much to ask?

Sorry for the book here.

I think it would be totally awesome if you could be one of those. They supposedly happen all the time, right? If not, at least you do get a better RE out of this.

Oooh, poor delicate little pregnant women. Wouldn't want them catching any of your non-pregnant cooties.

Thanks I would feel sincerely awful if I were one of those people who joined a support thread and got pregnant "right away"...really I would...but okay, I'd take it, too. Look at me, you'd think I had hope! Where did this COME from?! This is, like...me 10 cycles ago!
