Duration of 2nd labors? - Page 2

My first labor was three hours -- water broke at midnight and he was born at 3:00.
My second was almost four hours but I wasn't positive I was in active labor the first hour or so.

I'm curious to see if this one is as fast as the other two.

My first was 11 hours total from first contraction to baby. 1 hr, 10 min of pushing.

2nd was a little less than four hours total from first contraction. 20 min of pushing. (though technically I was in labor for 40 hours since my water broke 36 hours before I went into labor)

from start to finish #1 was 8 hours, 20 min pushing, it wasn't hard until the last 3 hours

with #2 i had 1 1/2 days of prodromal labor and about 2 hours of hard labor to birth, 20 min pushing

#1 - about 8 hours, started with an induction at 41weeks

#2 - 25 hours of labor, 41weeks, at home.

1st: 28 hour, with 3 1/2 hours of pushing
2nd: 3 hours, 20 minutes with 4 minutes of pushing

The first was most likely posterior because of it's length, the duration of each contraction, and the back labor for all painfully horrible 28 hours. The second was a very calm, peaceful hypnobabies birth, with a very intense 4 minutes of pushing!

1st - about 25 hours, with pitocin and epidural after 20 hours or so

2nd - 6 hours, completely natural

Oh man, I just had to say the first thing that popped into my head when I was reading this was "Oh great, only 27 hours of labor this time."

1st - 12 hrs
2nd - 2.5 to 1.5 hrs. Not sure because I was only certain I was in labor for the last hour. Insane.
I had started my own thread on this very topic back in September...however I still see this conversation come up occassionally.

My first was about 36 hours of hell.
My second was on and off early, painless labor (did normal activities) for about 10 hours, then 5 hours of actual LABOR labor.

1st - 7 hours from 'active' (4 cms) to finish.
2nd - 5 hours from water breaking and first ctx to finish.

i keep telling everyone i'm shooting for 3 hours with this one

1st - 9.5 hrs from first contraction to baby (including 1.5 hrs of pushing)
2nd- 3 hrs from first contraction to baby

If you go by when my waters broke then #1 was 11hrs and #2 was 7 hours. I had ROM for 4 hrs before I started having ctx with dd, about an hour with DS.

#1- 44 hours including 4 hours pushing (also including 7 hours of back labor)
#2- 7.5 hours including 20-30 min pushing

Wondering about #3.

First- a little over 24 hours of labor, 13ish hours of hard labor, 20 minutes of pushing. 8lb2oz baby, pretty extensive internal tearing and bad hemmroids.

Second- a little under 5 hours of labor, 2 hours of hard labor, 10 minutes of pushing. 9lb baby, no tearing or hemmroids.

18, 8, 6 hrs respectively. 1st was hospital birth w/ pit after PROM.

DD1 was 15 hours from first noticed contx to birth, with about 5 min pushing. Born 41 weeks, no interventions.

DD1 water broke Thurs, contx started by pit on Friday at 3pm, born just after midnight with 5 min pushing.

Both were slow to get to 3 cm and then 3-10cm took 1-2 hr with both births.

Note: There were 10 yr apart so probably more like 2 first births there. DD2 is now 2 and I hope this one goes fast.

#1 was 12 hours of spontaneous labor from the first contraction to having her in my arms, including about 20 minutes of pushing.

#2 was about 8 hours of "real" labor that started at 6:00 pm w/ contractions every 5-9 minutes apart. But, all throughout that day, I'd been having "real-feeling" contractions but only every 30-60 minutes. This labor had only about 15 minutes of pushing, despite him being a lot bigger than DD was.

dd1- 32+ hours, posterior/asynclitic ending in c/s
dd2- 12 hours total from first contraction to babe, including 4 hours of pushing (vbac)
ds1- 4.5 hours total from contraction to babe, about an hour of pushing (vbac)

My first was 5.5 hours, pretty laid back.

My second was 2hrs 20 mins and INTENSE.

I'm scared sheetless this time We have to be able to get the kids to a friend beforehand and all I can think about is having to pull over in the snow and DH deliver lol
