Decided maybe I should make some sort of introduction post here.
New to these forums, and finding them pretty friendly!
So, I'm Michelle, I'm 23 and I live in south central Wisconsin. I'm married to Ken, 25, and we have a 9 month old son named Noah. He was born February 4th, 2009. On my older sisters birthday! She got the gift that just keeps giving, har har. We live in a lovely apartment with our cat Wishbone. He's our master.
I'm mostly a SAHM, though I am a volunteer firefighter/emt also. But thats up to me when I want to (which I want to all the time) I joke that adrenaline and trauma are my drugs of choice.
Ken is a refrigeration mechanic and in the National Guard.
Umm, I breastfeed and cosleep, among other "attachment parenting" things, but I'm pretty passionate about breastfeeding.
I have serious baby fever, but I feel I need to devote more time to Noah before I bring another baby into our family.
Noah just started crawling. He enjoys terrorizing the cat, playing with the vacuum cleaner (and anything else that's not a baby toy) and loves sweet potatoes and squash.
Although I am passionate about breastfeeding, I will not harp on anyone who doesn't, nor will I try and preach my parenting skills onto anyone. I will state what works for us, but in the end, parenting is what the parents feel is best for their child, not what everyone else says.
I really hope I can make some great friendships here, and maybe stumble upon some people I know from other message boards.
