Anyone wanna share their halloween creations this year?

10 month old DS was a lion.

I made the costume from a old sweater and pair of pants for a total cost of about $5.00.

My little guy was a prince (he didn't get a choice in the matter, his little aunts wanted to be princesses and he got stuck going along with them).

I also did most of the work on my sisters' dresses:

Those are all great costumes!!!

Jules: Love the thrifting! DS's red part of the apple was a tablecloth and DD's trunk was an old pillowcase, both thrifted! The arms for her were stockings that no longer fit.

Amy: Your DS looks so cute! I saw at the end you said "I can't believe how much time I've put into this costume!" Totally feel ya on that! I've been wondering how long DD will be able to dictate what they both will wear....I can see it will be awhile

DD was the tooth fairy http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...&id=1617583953

The necklace is made of plastic teeth! And my favorite item doesn't show in this pic, toothbrush bracelets: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...&id=1617583953

and DS was a parrot: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...&id=1109054131

I made that parrot costume when DD was 2, and for DS, I just had to do new wings, despite the fact that it's been in the dress up box and much played with for nearly 4 years! It's held up so well!

DH went as a pirate, carrying DS on his shoulder and I went as a giant tooth (sandwich board)

DD was Little Red Riding Hood. I was really please with how the costume came out. I made the jumper so it could be worn for the rest of the winter and you can't tell in the pics, but the cape has red sparkles in the fabric.

Hood down
and you can see the basket she carried in the background.

Hood up, check out the shoes! Sparkly red Chucks!

You're kids are too stinkin' cute in those awesome homemade costumes!

My girls dressed up as characters from Hayao Miyazaki movies, he's huge here in Japan! I'll include links so you can see the movie info, in case you're unfamiliar.

DD 1 was Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service
