i'll be going Christmas eve service (we do not have a service on Christmas day). Christmas eve service is at 6 pm on Thursday and is only an hour. it's a beautiful candle lit (only candles no lights) service. Thankfully they'll have a nursery that night because my little Isaiah would probably want to put the candles in his mouth right now.

zech13_9_goforgold-I offer your lots of support and hugs during this time. It is hard when you really want something and God is telling you to WAIT or not now. Infertility is probably one of the hardest because God designed us women to desire children. You can vent here to us. We'll listen and offer prayer for you.

He washed my feet yesterday afternoon, then we spent a long time snuggling and talking. While I took a nap, he cleaned the house a bit. I couldn't ask for a more understanding husband.

This one is a really good one to follow because it breaks up some of the heavy reading (like the book of numbers)...You don't have the same books every day. I'm planning on doing this one. I'm a little behind already but plan to catch up by saturday. We don't have to do the same one...just encourage each other to keep going through.

Not this year for me. I'm feel like I don't have more time to "read". I'm working on just spending more time w/Him.

Totally understand. I haven't read through the entire bible in about 5 years. So I think it's time for me. There are a few things i'm getting rusty on. I have been reading it to my DS during lunch time.SO far it's worked well and if I have some quiet time I can reread harder passages and mediate on them.

How have you been? I've been wondering how your doing!!!!

Pants, I really need to finish reading the entire Bible this year. I have read the NT a few times but have never finished the old testament.
I'm ashamed to say how many years I've been a christian!!
I'm going to look at your link right now.

It's been quiet in here. ANything new?

My hubby and I are trying to settle on our cruise to bermuda this September to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Were going back and forth between celebrity and norwegian. Both have it's pro's and con's. Cruising is the most cost effective way to go to bermuda for us. I wished we could afford to stay on the island. But we have cruised before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone been on either of these lines???

We are fine here. I wish we could go away. It will be 10 years for us this year. We when away only once and that was not romantic. It was a bed and breakfast that had lots of animals. Very funny place to end up. It was a big mixup by my husband and he "paid" for it.

Anyway! We did vist a new church. It looks like they have a good sunday school. So we will go back. Is it just me or are fewer parents taking children to sunday school?

Question: What do you guys look for in a sunday school? I left the other church because a new superintendent came in. He want to change things in way that I don't agree with. I will explain if you want.

OK I'm talking to much.

Yeah I think a lot of parents have stopped going to sunday school because it's to hard to get up early and make sure everyone is ready, fed, and out the door by a certain hour. On sunday mornings DH and I get up an hour earlier to just get ready before I have to get DS up to get him ready and fed. So it takes commitment and dedication and a little sacrifice. But for us it's important. My DH runs the sound/light ministry during the main worship hour so he doesn't get a chance to really stop, listen, and absorb the preaching of the bible. Sunday school is his only chance to be fed.

Hmmmm...what do I look for in a sunday school? Well I can say the #1 thing is if I believe in the churches doctrinal stance 100%. That will give and idea on what is going to be taught in sunday school too. I look for a smaller sunday school class. Like less then 15 couples or if I was going to just a ladies class then less then 30 ladies. Our sunday school at church is broken down by age group but no one really pays attention to that it seems. Our class is the 20's but we have 30's and 40 year olds that are recently married in our class so it should be renamed "homebuilders" or "new marrieds" class..I really enjoy being in a sunday school where a lot of the women are in the same stage in life as us. Newly married (or less then 10 years), no kids or just having kids, or have little ones in the house. We encourage each other, get to know each other. This weekend was supposed to be the ladies night out to dinner. But looks like we'll be snowed out of that. So sad...was looking forward to ladies night out for weeks.

Some people at our church have thought about switching sunday school to a rotating topical sunday school setup and dropping the age break down totally into classes with topics that rotate quarterly. Which would be ok. But It may loose the close nit aspect of being in the same class all year.
