Recovery.Uterine prolapse?? TMI

SO yesterday I had this weird feeling like my there was something protruding from my vajayjay and when I did a look see I noticed that my cervix was REALLY low- it is normally super high where I can hardly reach it, and there is also a balloon-like bulge in there...I have an appointment with a midwife next Tuesday, they wanted me to see a gynecologist tomorrow but the only one available this week is a male with a HORRIBLE bedside manner...Just what I need post-partum- so I have to wait a whole week. Anyone have experience with uterine prolapse? How did you deal with it? It is uncomfortable and I also have bladder urgency and hemorrhoids now like my bottom half is just gonna fall out! ......UGHH! Recovery after big baby #3.

I suspect that I might have a mild bladder/urethral prolapse. When I investigate standing up, It feels like there is a bulge on the front wall, but when I look while lying down, nothing seems too suspicious other than the fact that my urethra looks very swollen... which it still may be. I'm about 3 weeks out and I figure I'm just going to have to wait and see. I don't have any incontinence issues, so I'm thinking it's a very mild prolapse if not just normal PP mushy/swollen-ness. I never checked stuff out down there, really after DS, so I'm not sure what it was like last time.

About a week PP, I had what I thought might be a mild uterine infection based on how tender my uterus was, but turned out to be that my uterus just wasn't contracted back down yet. I took methergine to fix it, but my gears are turning trying to figure out just why it wasn't contracted back down... bladder in the way? I'm not planning on DTD any time soon, so I think I'm just going to wait and see how I feel in a few more weeks.

Oh me! And it is so much worse this time after birthing my 4th baby and second posterior one in a row. It took about 2 years for my cervix to go back to "normal" last time and even then it wasn't the same. This time I'm not even focusing on that I am having so many bladder and rectal problems. Big hug. I get really frustrated. It makes me feel like my body is failing me and I am only 28. Here is a good website.

There is also a whole tread on this in the birth trauma section.

I have the same symptoms! Plus really bad incontinence -- my bladder sometimes empties itself when I stand up. Urg!
