Adding snaps question

I want to make some fitted diapers and I'd like to use snaps but the one place that I've found that sells snap presses is out of stock until the end of november. I want to get started now considering I'm due in January and December is always a busy month.

The pattern I have says to cut out, put snaps on the outside layer, then sew together.

Is it possible to sew the dipes first, then add snaps later?

No problem adding snaps later, they just won't be hidden.

Ahh thank goodness! I can get started sooner then.

I was thinking I'd have order it to get picked up in the states and have to find a time to brave the 3 hour border line up.
