DD came with us today and and was really impressed with the Baby TV.
The baby is measuring ahead of EDD - the doc as placed me at July 13, my calculations based on ovulation say July 7, and the u/s said July 2 today. Sooooo, the baby is due in July, lol!
I want to continue having my u/s done at his office but switch to a mw since I want a homebirth. He did NOT react well to my desire for a homebirth. *sigh* I dunno if I'll be staying with him.

Totally awesome! Isn't it so cool to see an actual baby in there?! I love it! And screw your doctor! Why are you going to the OB if you are having a homebirth with a midwife? Can't your midwife order ultrasounds?

I met my midwife just a few weeks ago, but my first check up with her is at the end of January. I hadn't originally planned on a homebirth so I didn't decide on one until after my ob/gyn said he wouldn't categorize my pregnancy as high risk due to my age. I thought I would automatically be categorized as such and therefore not be eligible for a homebirth. In Germany most ob/gyns have their own u/s machines so I've never heard of anyone going to a clinic to have them done. Lots of women alternate their care here with a mw and the ob/gyn simply for the purpose of having u/s or lab work done. That's what I plan on doing to and I think he understood it well enough. That means less $$$ for him. And he mentioned some French study showing how horribly dangerous homebirths are. I can really only shake my head. I told him about the new Canadian study which was even translated and published in a leading German medical journal. Too bad he's intent on scaring me out of my homebirth. I'm not sure I want to go back now for further tests or u/s. Too bad.

Cool 3-D!
Sounds like your ob is an ass. Glad you're determined to do what you want.
