Losing weight?

How long did it take you to lose your water weight? I'm still only down 5 lbs (was down 10 yesterday but this am i'm only down 5). Now I gave birth to an almost 8 lbs baby so I know I have more. I'm only 12 days out but I swear it happened a little sooner last time. I don't THINK I at THAT much halloween candy LOL! So where are you from your D day weight?

11 days pp I am down 25 lbs. I have about 20 more to loose pregnancy weight and 20 more after that. I would expect you to have dropped more at this point.

2-1/2 weeks PP and Im down 18#. Which is good considering I havent hardly been walking around at all due to being so sore.

I lost 20 of the 30 in the first couple weeks.. since then Not so much.

But I am currently sitting here holding my sleeping baby and eating the kids Halloween candy I really need to stay out of their candy.

I gained 54 pounds.
1 week postpartum I have lost 23 pounds.
(It was all baby and water, I think. I still have a lot of water to lose... my feet remain swollen to hippo proportions!)

2 wks PP and I've lost 20
so I have 30 more plus I was up 10 from my normal weight before I got pregnant. I'm giving myself till his first birthday to slowly lose weight and not freak.

See that's what happened with DS, I lost 25 lbs at about 2 weeks and with DDs I lost 35-40. I wonder if it's the placenta I've been taking. Maybe I'll just loose it all in 2 days starting tomorrow like I did with DS.

I've only lost 13.5 pounds and it's been four weeks. I only gained 3.5 pounds so I actually weigh less than I did when I got pregnant, but still. The baby weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces and with the placenta, the amniotic fluid, the extra blood volume. you'd think all that would weigh more than 4 pounds, but maybe not. Maybe I should just be celebrating that I'm already 10 pounds under pre-pregnancy weight, but I still have so much to lose (from previous pregnancies) that I was a bit dissapointed.

Lucia-It will come off. It is hard for me when breastfeeding. I know for other women it just falls off when nursing, but something with my metabolism just doesn't allow it to drop off.

I usually hold on to extra weight while breastfeeding and loose it as soon as I stop

I loose all but the last 10 lbs..thus being 10 lbs heavy when I got preg this time since I was still nursing ds2.

i gain weight while breastfeeding because all i do is nurse and eat.

and as for losing weight... i gained 11 lbs, lost 15 when i had amelia and have since gained about 17 back. i could barely eat when i was pg, but now i'm like a garbage disposal. i ate AN ENTIRE $5 FOOTLONG FOR LUNCH.

I just weighed myself at 1 week PP and I've lost 19lbs. I still have a LOT more to lose unfortunately.

Hope you do, too. It's miserable carrying around extra weight.

Weirdly enough, I have very little appetite right now. You'd think with nursing two kids I'd be starving. Maybe my body is using those stores ... I hope so but I don't usually lose a lot of weight until after 6 mos of bf'ing.

I'm a gainer PP too, I have a huge apetite PP and I always start gaining at 1 month PP. I'm hoping it will be different this time, I'm eating gluten free due to celiac that was (sorta) dxed just prior to Mal's conception, so I'm hoping with the dietary changes food won't race through my body so fast and maybe I'll absorb some of it! I also stopped taking metformin which also tends to race food through my system. *fingers crossed* When my DS1 started the GF diet he stopped SCREAMING for food all the time and has lost a little weight, I'm hoping the same happens for me. I certainly have much less severe cravings then I used to. The big test will be the one month mark.

Im almost 4 weeks post partum and I still have 24 lbs to lose...

I haven't weighed myself since the birth. I don't want to know!
ETA: I'm down to my prepregnancy weight already. That happened with ds as well. It's the PCOS I guess.
