First Follie Scan on Monday - Question

**x-posted to TTC though I think this might be where I officially belong at this point **

So I start my follie scans on Monday and I was curious as to whether or not they do them EVERYDAY to watch if it's not ready on monday? Like do they check it again the next day if not ready monday or do they skip a day or how does that work?

Also - do you have to pay a copay each time you go in for ultrasound???

This is my very first clomid/follie scan/trigger shot cycle, and Im a little nervous about all the unknowns.

I've only had one cycle where I wasn't ready on the first scan, and I did come back in the very next day. With a trigger shot, you only need to be at 18mm (or thereabouts), and generally happens 2-3 days before you would naturally ovulate. If you are way behind that at 12mm or so, they may wait two days. It really depends on the size of the follicles.

I don't have to pay a copay on scan days because I don't see the doc , only a tech and nurses. I only pay a copay when I see the dr.

I often go in, skip a day, sometimes two, and back in. As O gets closer, sometimes it's every day.

I had three u/s last cycle, and in the past I've had more than that.

The new info I got this cycle was that it's better to trigger on Clomid when the follicles are 25 mm or so, not 18/20. 18 is borderline, 20 is the old 25, and apparently 25-30 is the magic number.

Then again, I'd be worried about Oing on my own before the trigger and miss out on optimal IUI timing with waiting. It's always a crap shoot, though.

Good luck with the scan!!!

I did IVF, and with my u/s's, I went in every 3 days, then every 2, then every day until I was ready to trigger. Probably a total of 7 times? And yes, I had a co-pay each time, even though I was the tech. My insurance didn't cover fertility treatments, although it did cover until "diagnosis", which apparently included the testing?

So when should I be having sex after the trigger. Right now we are doing it every other dayish...Hubby leaves on Monday for a 3 day class but I have my scan on Monday. So if they trigger Monday I was thinking I would have sex Sunday evneing, and then go back on Tuesday to his class and have sex again, so Im keeping it every other day. Does that sound okay? I wil lbe able to have sex again wednesday - so technically the only day I will miss is Monday.

Im so paranoid because I just spent $124 on buying this shot - (ZOMG) I wanna give myself the best chance.

Does anyone know what hte success rate is supposed to be doing this? Like I know a normal cycle you get a 20% chance of pregnancy but with the clomid and novarel, is there any higher chance....like 90% (wishful huh!?) or something!?
