Coffee induced allergy???

I recently started drinking coffee again and have a good feeling that my DS is reacting to it (diarrhea and rash) I stopped for a few days and everything cleared up. Then this morning I had a cup (made pretty weakly) and this afternoon, the rash and diarrhea are back I was wondering how long it takes for allergens to show up in breast milk? Hours? Days?

Sounds like an allergy to the coffee. Probably the actual coffee beans. that's rough, sorry mama!

It sounds like it could be a reaction to the coffee. My Dh is allergic to coffee, so it can happen. As far as how soon it could appear.... your lo could have signs immediately after nursing, or several hours later. My lo can't drink dairy, and our only sign was the reflux and the high pitch screaming from pain at night.

I guess I was also wondering more about how long it takes for food you consume to enter the breast milk
