I had to have some dental work this morning and the dentist
mentioned that he had a new baby at home which led to talking
about our kids. Somehow, the fact that my 32 month old is still
nursing came up and he said:
"What a lucky girl to get to nurse for so long! Not many [children]
get that."
Awesome! We then talked about the differences in the time
recommendations from the U.S., WHO, etc. It sounded as if BF was
definitely the cultural norm in his home country of Syria.
So little positive feedback is given to nursing mamas in this country
that it is great when you get some!
