Rolling Over

Ok I am sure some will think I am full of it. I think some family thinks I am making this up, but on October 30th Sophia rolled over. The day before her six week birthday mark and she rolled from her belly to her back.

I was at my folks house, we had her on her belly on her lamb skin on the kitchen table and sure enough she rolled over! Not once, not twice, but five times. We got it on video and everything.

DH missed it, so tonight when he came home from work I laid the lambskin on the floor place DD on her belly and watch her go to work. After the first time for daddy we pulled out the video camera but I think she got camera shy, so we will try again tomorrow.

I guess this is really early for her to be rolling over? Anyone else rolling?

haha, that's awesome!! elijah ALMOST got from his back to his belly. the only thing that was holding him back was that bottom shoulder (the one he turns in to). he got his bottom half totally flipped over! i was by myself, and in total awe so could not pull myself away to get the camera, but he's gets on his side in a second and really tries to go all the way, so DH doesn't doubt that he almost made it.

i know it doesn't mean that our kids are geniuses or anything, but i secretly think he's the smartest baby anyway

yep. Jude did it Tuesday night.... right at 6 weeks

Gavin did it at three weeks, but he was crying and kicking and suddenly he was on his back, so it wasn't exactly intentional! He's done it three times, but all of them were when he was crying on his tummy and he propels himself to his back.

Um - never here! My Maddie was like that though. This is the kid who was PULLING herself up on her crib rails at 5, yes FIVE months old :lo Charlotte doesn't even LEAN on a side yet though And I never (bad Mommy) lay her on her tummy.....

My DD did this last week, only she didn't go all the way over, just from her tummy to her right side. She kind of got stuck and started crying for me.

my daughter (who is now 3.5 and full of energy upon energy upon energy) rolled completely over at 12 days old, right in front of the nurse at her well baby check up. she turned into an incredibly active kid.

so far our new little one is content to lay on his back on the changing table. however if i put him on his tummy on the floor, he will roll onto his side.
