Taking my toy and going home!

I was up ALL night with strong BHs (?)- I don't really know at this point. They were strong enough to make me have to focus, like deep breathing and they were coming fairly regularly for a while (10 min). Flipping sides or standing didn't stop them. They were deep in my pelvis, like strong PMS cramps and would radiate upwards. I haven't had a backache up to this point, but today, I do. I cleared my bowels (ahem ) several times but it feels like I still have to!

This morning they have continued and I'm wondering if this might lead to labor? I sent DH to work because he has a project, a doc appt, then class tonight, but told him to have his phone handy.

Mammas with experience, is this prodromal labor?

I think it sounds like you are ready to go!!!

I hope this is it for you!!! : Plus, bonus points for clearing the bowels before the labor starts!

I would say that sounds like it could be prodromal labour, hopefully it's also early labour and doesn't last too much longer though. I'm so excited for you!! I'll be stalking you for an update.

I've been having this for several nights now, exactly like you are describing. DH calls it my "nightly bout of labor." For me it usually wakes me up around midnight-1 am and lasts a couple of hours.

Sounds like things are starting for you!

I'm not sure, but I don't think you're going to need those extra 2 weeks on your ticker.

I feel like I could have written this post! I am experiencing a lot of very similar things and hoping labor is impending.....

Still going....went to Macy's and the grocery store, each time a contraction hit I'd have to stop because they're taking my breath away! I think they may be intensifying a bit, so I'm going to try timing them for a bit. My MW seemed hopeful when I told her what was going on...

So now I'm eating lunch (roti chicken and green salad) and hoping to not regret it in a little while! Then I'll try to take a nap, though I'm doubtful I can with these going on!

If it's not labor, it's something close to it! (thinning and effacing that cervix).

I had two days, rather, nights, of contrx much like the ones your describe last time round--then the active labor was very quick, and actually those active labor contrx were not as intense as the prodromal/early labor ones.

If your experience is anything like mine, I am betting it won't be much longer for you till you are holding your babe

Eating, drinking, sleeping, and sending dh to work all sound like good things to do to me. The baby will come.

Still contracting. OoooUuuuCccHh! Seriously, this could go on for days??

They're 5-9 min apart, lasting 30-45ish sec. I took a hot shower which was divine- but I'm to the point of moaning to get through them. I definitely will be getting back in there soon! DD has been handling it well so far, and after I told her that her brother might be coming, she told me to spread my legs so he could come out!

Wellllll, that sound like early labor at least, esp. if they keep that rhythm and get stronger!! So excited for you!!
