Pregnant on Natural Progesterone - Nursing 15 Month Old (X-Posted in BFBI)

I am 6 weeks pregnant and my daughter is 15 months. The pregnancy was a surprise, but a nice one. The issue is that I hoped to have my first child weaned before I got pregnant again, but alas, that's not the case.

I took natural progesterone with the help of my chiropractor with my daughter's pregnancy and have decided to do it again. I've been taking it for several weeks now.

My daughter for the last week and a half has been so irritable, whiny and clinging to me. This is not normal for her at all. It is constant and the drama of throwing herself on the floor with tantrums is so frustrating. I'm wondering if this is a side effect of the progesterone or is it a coincidental developmental issue that will pass?

Anyone have experience with this? I really don't know what to do if it is the progesterone besides wean her because I need to continue taking it through the first trimester. I wouldn't mind weaning her, but I know she's not ready and I don't want behavioral side effects from a fast wean.

I can't speak about the Progesterone but I can say that i have a 15mo old son who is acting exactly like you describe your daughter and he has had no changes- so I would guess developmental.
