christina I have been having braxton hicks as well. Some days more then others.. Not real painful but some have made me stop what I was doing and was LIke OUCH! but nothing big i guess.. I have them daily.. But have had them where they were about 7 min apart for a few hours.. I think it depends on what I have done or if I have enough water in my system If i dont i tend to contract more.. Are you drinking alot of water? Why are you being induced at 38 weeks? Today is such a nice day we are going outside! Its 81 right now.. A little cloudy but ya cant have it all Take care mamas!!

Goodwill... Your last two post have cracked me up!! First one you forgot what you were saying lol then the last one it got LOSt :LOL Your day sounds like mine lately LOL

Oh, I'd LOVE to have some 80 degree weather!! You're so lucky!

It's been below freezing here for weeks!
I love you guys Thanks for cheering me up I needed it. they are inducing me at 38 weeks because with my last daughter I went really fast and Iam an hour away from the hospital. plus my inlaws live two hours from me so I figured if I got induced it would make it alot easier I was induced with Kimberly at 38 weeks because she was a large baby and my body wouldnt of been able to handle it my oldest daughter was bearly 7 pounds and she got stuck they had to use forceps on her which I didnt like at all. Ive been drinking alot of water so much that Iam really getting sick of it. but I got to do what is best for Chloe.

But I just have that wandering strange feeling, like what do I want to do now, what am I hungry for, and I don't want to do any work, I just want to sit around, and then I feel even worse. I find that if I can *make* myself get busy it usually helps.
Bellafin, I totally know what you mean. It takes major effort to motivate myself to do anything. I get up for two minutes, thinking I'm *really* going to get moving...then it's back to the couch (or the computer!).

Had a pre-natal appt. today. 31 weeks/5 days. Baby sounded good, b/p was 104/60, weight gain is 21lbs. My midwife assured me that all the pain i'm in is normal, esp with a second pregnancy. she also assured me that the vulvar veins won't be an issue (although she recommended that I not try to deliver in the squatting position).

dh and i were interviewed today by a local news channel about our hypnobirthing class. we even did a little demo for them. it will air next week. pretty cool!
That's awesome to get to promote hypnobirthing like that. Getting out the message to the public that childbirth doesn't have to be unbearable. Excellent!!!

My midwife appoinment went well yesterday, too. Mommajubilee-what is your due date? I'm April 17. According to my MW, I was 31 weeks and 5 days yesterday, too! How cool. I'm measuring 38 weeks now. I've gained a little over 30 pounds so far and it's all babies which makes me happy because I blew up like a whale last time. Their heartones were 148 and 140. We think bottom baby has her head down, not engaged, just down, and top baby is still sideways and sort of laying under her sister. So basically I have 2 sets of feet at the top of my uterus and they are right next to the placenta kicking the day lights out of me. I do have a little bladder infection so I'm going to cleanse my liver today and get some grapefruit seed extract to wipe that out. I had to much sugar over Valentine's Day-fell off the wagon and now I'm paying for it. I don't have any swelling yet and praying I won't get any. I didn't last time. I'm meeting the second midwife on Monday. She lives a couple of hours away so she's coming to town. Her mother actually lives in my neighborhood and that's where she does her prenatals. How convenient!

Hi all. Sounds like we're all doing pretty good overall! I also had a check-up yesterday. Everything went well, looks good, etc.

I also got to meet w/ the lady who will be the baby's Dr. and go over my wishes w/ her and she seemed agreeable. My dr. is great, he said that they try and keep the c-section as much like a natural birth as possible w/ very little seperation of mom and baby. He said that he feels that you have a baby to be with your baby, not to have your baby away from you.

I've gained a total of 7lbs. after losing 10, so I'm still down 3lbs. which is just fine for me. I've only got 6 more weeks to go! I'm getting really nervous about having more than 1 child. I've been busy getting everything ready for this baby though. The co-sleeper that I ordered came the other day. My 3yr. old is still in bed w/ us so I had to figure out something for this baby since we just don't have room for another little one in the bed w/ us.

sarahmae~ Our 3 year old still sleeps with us too.. We baught her a bed the other day and she doesnt want to sleep in it just yet.. Which is ok .. At night we put her in her bed after she falls asleep. She will sleep there a few hours and then comes right back into our bed.. I must say that no kids in bed for even a few hours is heaven!! But i figured she knows she at least has her bed to go to if she wants too.. But she also still can climb in with us if she doesnt want too.. One day she will just stay in her bed My oldest started to sleep in her own bed when she was about 3 or three in a half. She went with no problem but she is very independent and wants all her own room.. Well just wanted to let ya know i know where your coming from LOL

Hello all, I am back home from 3 and a half weeks of wonderful, much needed camping and travelling with my family. I need to buckle down now and get ready for baby #3, due in a very short time. I am finally realizing this!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did I mention that i met a mw right before we left so now I will start meeting with someone and preparing for our hb. I feel like this will be good, even though we waited I feel that both dh and I clicked with her! The other mws we met with just did not have the same spark/connection that I need before someone comes into my house to assist me with something so beautiful and personal.
I am reaady to go shopping and get some baby clothing and other necessary items-- I had my last baby 5 years ago and saved nothing but a few special things and diaper covers. At least I have these, diaper covers can cost quite a bit.
Good luck to all in the final stretch, we are sooooooooooooooo close to having new babies in the house!!!!
Peace---

I have a 5yr old and a 2 yr. old in bed with us! I don't think anyone is going anywhere anytime soon, so it's a good thing we just got a king size bed! 5 in bed-what am I thinking!!!
We do our cosleeping a little differently at my house. Dh and ds (3.5 years) actually share a bed, and I get my own! Yes, a little unusual, but ds sleeps on his own until sometime in the middle of the night, and then dh goes in there with him. It works, and that's all we really care about! This baby will sleep with me, and dh will continue to sleep with ds after baby is born. Eventually we will switch our arrangement to something more "traditional," I am sure, but not any time soon.

I am 34 weeks tomorrow!!! I have a dr's appt to look forward to at 11:15.

Today I went to the grocery store and when I was carrying in the load I felt as if I had either pulled somethign in my lower stomach area or the baby was telling me to slow down.. But there wasnt anything I could go about it cause I had to get them in the house. They were in the back of the truck in 70 degree weather and dh wasnt home he was at work~ I had to change my dr appt it was suppose to be on tuesday but i had to call and make it for Thursday. Dh has something he has to do that day and cant watch dd#2 while im there. So it wont work.. UGHH<< It was just kinda a one thing after another type of day today ya know! I hate them days.. My back hurts now but like burns inbetween the shoulder blades type of hurt.. could be a boob issue : Well I better go so i can get some much needed sleep Just thought i would come on here and rant a bit

Christina,
YES, I am SOOOOO ready to have my body back. I've felt awful since day one and am anxiously counting the days... Makes me feel guilty sometimes, but I can't wait to wake up and not feel like I'm going to puke, have diahreaa, or break into a million pieces! I'm sick of hearing myself complain, but DH says he doesn't mind.

It does bug me when he says something like, "my back hurts", or "boy I'm tired". Of course he shoud have a right to feel this way too, but I feel like-you've got to be kidding-MY back hurst more than yours, etc. Me and my pitty party, so sad.

I just can't wait for spring, can't wait to get outside and breath some fresh air, see my flowers come up, take a walk down to the cows and feed them grass. These last few weeks are the absolute hardest, mix that with *spring fever* and I'm sadly impatient.

So anyway, I've got most everything done for the little one! Should be getting all my fluffy mail today or tomorrow!! I think thats it! I haven't washed up any clothes are anything like that. So I will still probably dig out the baby swing, and pack for the hospital, but that can be done pretty quickly. I want to get done early becasuse my DS is having his birthday soon, and then there's Easter...

Well have a GREAT day-I gotta go get some FOOD!

I'll let you come clean MY house!! LOL!!

I had been doing pretty good until recently. Monday and Tuesday I didn't do a thing. The kids had trashed the house and the kitchen was a mess, and I didn't even cook!. I had expected DH to thrwo a fit (he likes a clean and tidy house, ALWAYS) but he didnt' thank goodness. I keep telling him he's gonna have to just realize that there are 3 (soon to be 4) people in this house all day EVERY day, and it's just NOT going to be spotless!! Anyway, he's doing good, I finally got me act in gear and at least cooked on Wednesday then had a ton to do on Thrsday and today! Anyway the house is in order for the weekend, then it starts all over!

Sometimes it feels like time is flying but gosh, the end for me moves SOOOO slow. Everyday feels like a week!

See you all later!

since Ive been on bed rest my house looks like a tornado hit though it and it is driving me nuts but everytime I get up and try to vaccum or clean then I start getting contractions Iam going to have a talk with my DH tonight and tell him I need help to keep this place clean. we shall see what happens he probably will get mad at me but hey Iam on bed rest and I really cant do the house work and Iam not risking going into preterm labor he will just have to get over it. I see my Dr Wednesday and Iam going to see if I can get off bed rest they probably will say no. I hate this bed rest stuff it is boring and I have so much house work to do.
well I better go and lay back down.
