Yes. I used to get migraines a lot as a teen, then they gradually eased off. But I get them quite a lot in pregnancy - I'm pretty sure they're hormonal for that reason, though they can be triggered by exhaustion, dehydration and stress too.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who can't talk properly when I get them! It usually starts off with feeling 'not quite right', then I'll get the auras, sound and light intolerance with an increasingly debilitating/painful headache.

Things I have found that (sometimes) help.
-Catching it right away. If I can go lie down/rest for a few hours as soon as I notice the 'not right' feeling/auras then sometimes I can avert it. This really only works when DH is around to take over parenting duties though...
-Ibuprofen at the very early stages as well.
-Caffeine - can of coke often helps. Doesn't stop the migraine, but does seem to make it shorter/more bearable.
-An oil I picked up when living in the Czech Rep. (Ingredients as far as I can make out are Propylene Glycol, Eucalyptus Globulus, Mentha Piperita, Caryophyllus aromaticus, Menthol and Camphor.) You rub it on your temples and nape of neck - often eases the pain and/or shortens the length of the attack.
- My mom swears by water, sugar and salt. (i.e. drinking a big glass of water, eating something sweet like chocolate or candy, and eating something really salty like salted peanuts) I'm usually too nauseous to keep this down, but it might be worth trying.
