Does anyone around here do the paleo diet thing? You know...meat, veggies and fruits, nuts, no dairy, grains or refined sugar? I'm leaning toward it (actually I have been for about fifteen years) because I'm trying to rid myself of fatigue, tummy problems and joint pain. I've known a few people IRL who have tried this diet and report feeling more energetic and having some of their physical issues clear up (esp. joint pain).
I'm just looking for feedback from anyone who's tried it and liked/disliked it, and also from people who know food/nutrition/physiology and why you think it's a good/bad idea. I admit to being suspicious of grains in general, and I've recently kicked dairy, but it's tough for me to cut out a bunch of food groups without good reason. I'm just so sick of this joint pain, and I'm wondering if this could help.
