Can I eat too many Cucumbers?

I am pregnant and all I seem to want to eat are Cucumbers, fresh ones sliced and salted.

How many do you think might be too many in any given day/week? Cravings for them seem to be out of control!

I say eat all you want! If you're craving them there's probably something in them that you need. Your body will tell you when you've had too many (you will start to feel bad or they will stop being attractive to you).

I wouldn't worry about it. I mean, clearly, you can obviously at some point eat too many, so that your body isn't getting essential protein and fats and stuff, but that would be a pretty extreme amount of cucumbers.

I remember my obsession with strawberries, when I was carrying DD1. I ate so MANY of them. And then one day I looked at one and just didn't want it. It just all of a sudden looked gross. I think we have to trust our body's wisdom on this stuff.

What does the rest of your diet look like? Are you getting enough fat and protein otherwise? So long as the rest of your diet isn't suffering because of it, eat as many as appeal until they don't appeal any longer. If the rest of your diet is suffering, then I'd limit it to 1/day.

What cristeen said. Though for the first three months of my pregnancy, literally all I could eat was potato chips, honey nut cheerios with 2% milk, and a few other items. And I was coming from a good, TF diet too. But I really craved lemons and limes and ate one or two a day. After the first trimester it ends up being okay though, and my daughter is brilliantly healthy.
