Thank you gift for officemate?

So my ds is almost one and I'm preparing to hang up my horns I've been pumping in my office, which I share with a coworker. I feel like I should get him some sort of thank you gift for putting up with being locked in or out of the office multiple times a day.

I've had a few ideas, but I'm not really happy with any of them:
-gift card to restaurant - he's got three kids and feeding them too is probably more than I was thinking to spend, and babysitting would be so not practical
-bake something, I have friends with a killer recipe for tres leche cake, which amuses my nerdy side, but I'm not sure he'd appreciate this as he and his wife are pretty into health stuff
-His interests seem to be mostly biking and running, and I have no idea what sort of thing would be good here

Any suggestions? I do certainly intend to write a note up the chain once I figure out where to send it, I just feel like I should do something more concrete too.

It's great you've had his cooperation/patience with pumping.

What about combining the gift card idea with the running/biking hobby- is there a running room or bike store you've heard him mention (or even just in the area)? I think pretty much all stores offer gift certificates these days, and that way he can put it towards something he'd like.

Oh, duh, thank you.... he's not mentioned a store, but there is this place that organizes races and he does a lot of their events.... I'll have to see if they have anything.

or even a g/c to some place near work where he gets lunch or coffee?

How about a magazine subscription to Biking or Runner's World or something like that? A gift that is inexpensive and gives all year long!

Is there something that would be useful and applicable to your line of work? A nifty office supply or book?

I TOTALLY understand the joy of hanging up the milking machine!

As far as the gift goes, does your community have a healthy-but-nicer restaurant? A gift certificate that he and his wife use for a nice date.

I'd include a card with a cow on it, just for a joke. But I'm a bit twisted like that.

I second the idea of a gift card for someplace he'd go during work. A few years ago my "Secret Santa" co-worker gave me a gift card to a nearby bagel shop because he'd seen me go in there; it was only $10 but bought me two bagel-and-coffee lunches, and I appreciated his watching to see what I liked and "treating" me to it.

Congratulations on completing your pumping!
