Web writing jobs that don't use Paypal - do they exist?

I hope this is posted in the right place - feel free to move if not .

I am wondering if other people have any experience with this. There are plenty of web writing jobs out there, and among them are even web jobs that pay a reasonable fee. I regularly see interesting vacancies. However, when reading into them further, they almost always turn out to pay through Paypal only!

I currently live in a politically and economically isolated country. As a result of former sanctions, there are still some weird banking rules in place, and because of those, people in this country can't have paypal accounts. Ordinary international bank transfers are not a problem. Perhaps this is Mission Impossible, but what I'm looking for is a web writing or editing job that will transfer money into my bank account, not into paypal.

Are such jobs around? I'd love to work on some About.com site or something similar, but it seems all reputable websites just pay through paypal.

I don't know if this would help you or not, but I do think that some sites let you request a check instead of using paypal. I use BlogHer for my blog ads and I requested a paper check through snail mail because I already get paid through pay pal for some other writing gigs and, well, I just want to have a check to cash now and again. I'm sure I've seen the option on some other writing sites as well, but I can't think which they are off the top of my head.

When you're bidding for jobs on rentacoder.com they allow you to get a paper paycheck. They have writing jobs there. Good luck- tricky situation.
