This lactose intolerant chic is craving cheese. Go figure. With dd I was craving chocolate (which I don't like) and whole grain German breads (I was always a white bread spoiled brat). But I had to watch the chocolate since it caused me bad heart burn.

my first pg, all i wanted was Tang (bleech, cannot stand the sight or smell of it now)

2nd pg, strawberry anything, fresh, jam, ice cream just as long as it was strawberry. Also fresh crisp salads and veggies, minus carrots. strong aversion to sugar, soda, and even some juices.

3rd pg, pickled beets, avocados, prociutto ham, Cadbury chocolate with caramel and a tall glass of skim milk. I also craved dill pickles (like polish dills), ranch dressing, root beer, soft serve vanilla ice cream, and (sorry) mt dew. However, we were living in the UK and all the pickled gerkins had sugar added-yuk, it was a 45 min bus ride to the only grocery store chain that sold 100ml bottles of something like ranch dressing. Soft serve was only at McDon'ts ONLY if the machine was working, and root beer and Mt Dew are nonexistant, unless you find an import store.

This pg since we are in the US, root beer floats, claussen polish dills, avocados, and tacos/mexican food and pumpkin pie!

I can never figure out *what* I am craving. I had this last pregnancy too. I get this urgent hungry feeling, but not in my stomach if that makes sense, and it is all consuming, but no food is appealing. Ugh!! Anyone else get this?

Last time around, I ate a lot of ambrosia apples and red grapes.

This morning I am desperate for a chocolate almond croissant. mmmm, so genius!

cream cheese--- went to panera to get bagels
sour cream-- made myself a midnite quesadilla to fit that bill

but other than that-- I've been feeling that intense hunger and food aversion at the same time. it really kicked in bad yestreday. I'd loaded the crockpot in the morning, and when I got home, the smell of dinner almost knocked me out!

At just over 4 weeks, it's probably way too soon for me to be having true cravings, but I have been really craving unsweetened cranberry juice. Also winter squash in all forms (which I usually am not crazy about).

I've been eating as much veggies as I can--kale, squash, broccoli, green beans, etc.

Breakfast = power meal--oats + milk + apple + peanut butter. YUM. It's essential to me that I eat within 20 minutes of getting up.

On my way out of Target, I saw the slushie machine and DH steered me clear of it. I begged him until he stopped at a gas station so I could get a strawberry banana slushie.....mmm

Yes! That is exactly it! I feel wierdly hungry, but I cannot decide on what to eat because nothing sounds good. Nothing is really tasting that good either. The only thing I like right now is milk and OJ. I'm continuing to eat, but it's joyless, or I get nauseated with it half way through the plate.

Craving lots of protein and veggies.

Especially craving edamame, but am a bit concerned because they're soy beans and I was reading Dr. Mercola's article saying to stay away from it during pregnancy. Hmm.

Tonight I HAD to have canned peaches. Why canned? Who knows. I just had to have it. Luckily dp and dd went to the store and got some for me (as well as pizza fixins). Then I got to eat the whole can while they made pizza for dinner.

I took a half a unisom pill last night (in addition to the B6 I've been taking every morning) and I can't believe how well it worked. I actually had an appetite today and didn't feel like I was going to puke all day. It was nice to actually enjoy my food.

I've also been craving root beer and lemonade, which were also two big cravings for me with dd.

Weirdly - I have not had much of an appetite lately. Usually I have to keep myself from eating all the junk in the house, but last night I actually forgot to even eat dinner. No morning sickness yet, but I'm only 5 weeks, so that's not surprising.
Last preg. I craved salad, tomato soup, fruit, (and Dunkin' Munchkins toward the end...) and still gained 50 lbs... Right now, salad makes my stomach upset, and fruit doesn't seem appetizing. Hopefully that will change... So long as I don't develop an aversion to coffee, I'm good...

I really think it might be too early to tell, but I have noticed the weirdest thing. I have a pretty decent sweet tooth, and I LOVE cookies - I am a regular cookie monster. Right now I couldn't care less about anything sweet. I was at an event last night with big platters of cookies, brownies, strawberry shortcake, etc. I had no desire to eat any of it. I even went over to the cookie tray thinking once I got over there I could find something to my liking - nope. Things that are salty or vinegary, though? Bring it on! Olives have been a favorite lately

In my last two pregnancies, I had really different food cravings....

With DS 1 I craved gravy of all things...it was kinda embarrasing. My DH and I would go out to dinner, and ask where I wanted to go...my token response was, "Anywhere with good gravy!!"

With DS 2 I craved citrus, but mostly lemons and lemonaide....I drank at least three glasses a day for awhile! Watermelon was also big on my list.

This time around, so far I've been drinking water like a mad woman - but not just any water - it has to be ice cold, or it makes me want to puke. I'm also starting to crave comfort foods - yesterday was homemade mac and cheese, today I'm making a vat of split pea/ham soup...

yesterday i had to hit the bank. well, i bank with a credit union, of which there is only 1 of in my small mountain community.

the bank is located in a shopping center with a Chevy's, KFC and Carl's Jr

the smell of disgusting deep-fried food was soooo strong (it usually is) that i literally ran into the bank and ran back to my car so i didn't:Puke

just remembering it now makes me and almost :Puke

i couldn't eat until almost 8 hours later, the smell was so GROSS.

I'm craving Branston Pickle which is a British sandwich spread. I can't remember the last time I ate it so it's a weird craving. My Dad is arriving in 2 wks and bringing a jar!
I can't stomach OJ or salad right now
With DS I craved fresh pineapple.

I want black tea with milk and sugar. I f'in hate black tea with milk and sugar. But I don't just want black tea with milk and sugar... I WANT BLACK TEA WITH MILK AND SUGAR!!!!!!! I'm kind of obsessed with it. I don't know why. I'm starting to feel twitchy and pissy cause I haven't had it yet and I've been wanting it for days.

And I want biscuits. Weird.
