weaning- feel out of whack

Hi ladies
Even though my daughter is 6 months I am posting here in 12-24 months because I imagine more of you have experience with weaning. I have weaned down to one feeding after work at around 5:30pm and then again anytime she wakes up in wee early hours (2am-4amish). She sleeps in our bed and nurses on and off through the night. I plan to keep this up through one year old so long as I can keep up production.
Here's the problem- the past few weeks (since I cut out a couple of feedings), I have been feeling awful... daily headaches, nauseous, dizzy, tired ...plus have had this daily discharge - honestly I thought I might be pregnant again! I took 2 tests and most certainly am not. I have not had a period since I had Olivia, but maybe this is my body gearing up again? Hormones going wild?
Yesterday my daily discharge had a little brownish tint to it (sorry if TMI)...

Anyway- I feel crazy because everything about how I feel is like my early pregnancy... but I am definitely not. Have any of you experienced this with weaning your babies? Especially the discharge issue? I'll call my OBGYN next week if its still going on, but feel like its probably normal!

I would bet that it's your fertility starting to return- which can take some time. I remember feeling the same way and being just certain I was already pregnant again!

I also felt this way when my DS started cutting out feedings. A mom of twins who I know became super sick to the point of vomitting each time she decreased a feeding. Bodies are crazy!

Thanks

Thanks for your responses! I did talk with my OBGYN yesterday and was assured that lots of crazy things can happen with the body as you wean down. She said that my body is likely getting ready to have a period, but that I still may not get it for a few months.

Since I posted the question here.. I have been feeling much more "normal"..in terms of the nausea etc... but I will say that Olivia has been nursing MUCH more through the night. She wakes up every couple of hours, and I feel like she is making up for lost feedings with me during the day (where she is now getting bottles instead). Its making for a very tired Mama, but whatever she needs is OK with me.
