Ds is 4 mo and a light sleeper. He falls asleep with me holding him (nursing or not). Usually, I can put him in the basinet and he'll stay asleep. But he wakes up 10-15 minutes later or so just about every time. He's obviously still tired, but he's awake and ready to play. He doesn't cry or seem the least bit unhappy, but he gets tired and needs another nap pretty soon.
If I keep putting him down, will he eventually start sleeping longer?
If I keep him on my lap, he's more likely to have a full nap, though not guaranteed. But I'd love to be able to have time with ds1 while ds2 sleeps. If he cried when he woke up alone, I'd definitely keep holding him. He doesn't need to nurse to sleep, and actually sometimes flat out refuses to do so (so very different than ds1!!).
