nursing hot flashes

Anybody else have this happen or am I just weird?

When I go to bed I'm cold and I have to snuggle in my blankets. But, as soon as the baby starts stirring or even before then, I get not only warm but hot. My body will be sweaty. I kick off my blankets while I feed the baby and by the end of the feeding I'm cooler, but it takes me a few more minutes after he's done before I'm cool enough to get under the blanket again. I think it's funny. It's like my body is making his milk even warmer as a treat for him. Can anybody else relate to this?

Yep. As soon as my milk came in, I started getting hot flashes with let down. And I still do.

In the first 3 months I got a lot of hot flushes. I always woke up drenched, and could just start sweating like crazy while talking to someone (usually with DD plugged in).

Wow!
That's exactly what's happening to me, but I never did the connection with BF, and I keep getting my husband to turn the heat up, turn the heat down and wondering what is up with this furnace!!
I guess I'll stop blaming our furnace now!

I never connected it to BFing but I've had hot flashes since giving birth. They are less frequent now than at first but they are so irritating!

I had that, too, but it only lasted for a week or two postpartum.
