bum genius 3.0 one size for big baby?

hi there-
i have BG 3.0 that i have been using for my 5 month old 17 lb. son. we're already on the middle setting of the snaps. i'm trying to decide where to invest the money- in more one size BG (since we love them) or in a medium/large sized pocket of AIO. basically, anyone have experience with BG and a large baby and how long did they last, size-wise?
thanks!

My ds1's 2.5 and ~27+ pounds and still fits in the 2.0s just fine, wiith plenty of room

my dd is 7 mos- went into the middle setting at maybe 3 mos and is still there. i was sure she would have outgrown it by now based on how quickly she outgrew the first snap setting. i know other people have had issues with their kids outgrowing them though. dd is 21 lbs now.

By 6 months, I didn't feel like I could put the BG on my dd anymore - they were sooo tight on her thighs, even on the largest setting. She didn't start thinning out until maybe 1.5 yrs when she started getting taller and not just wider lol! Now I can get them on her again (she's almost 2)... but BARELY... I'd go with something else on a big baby... for sure!

My medium-weight-but-tall child outgrew the BGOS on the largest snap setting about four months before potty training.

My son outgrew the one size BG's before he was out of diapers. Happy Heiney's one size fit him for much longer. He's still wearing them double stuffed at bedtime and he's 3.5 yrs old.
The HH have a longer rise and a bit more room around then the BGs.
