[TMI] Does anyone else....

I'm a newb so I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but when I am BF'ing I get gassy and sometimes have an urgent need to go #2. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this. My only guess is that BF'ing is causing my uterus to contract which is pushing on my bowels? lol I feel funny even having to ask that.

Also...

I seem to have developed a wheezing cough that doesn't produce anything. It's not a regular occurrence either... The lady that encapsulated my placenta said to stop taking it if I came down with something so I'm hoping that will help it go away.

Anyone else feel like they were wheezing almost immediately? I also notice/d that my heart would feel like it was palpitating every once in awhile. I just chalked it up to my body readjusting itself after having Adriana. Now that it's been a week and I'm still wheezing, I'm beginning to wonder.

Yes!!! I have this. It was much more pronounced with DD#1. As soon as she started nursing I had to run to the potty.

Glad I'm not alone!

Oooh I had totally forgotten about that. I don't have that issue this time, but definitely did the first couple months with my first son. I remember it didn't last long, but definitely long enough to be really irritating. I never did ask anyone why or what it might be.

Not a clue about the wheezing though.

Another urgent pooper here. Much more so with my first baby though, don't know why it's not happening as much this time. Actually, this time I feel like I keep having to pee urgently once I start nursing. And both babies get/got set down so I could run to the bathroom even though I felt bad because their crying wakes up everybody else in the house.

Not me, but I get super nauseated with letdown. Almost to the point of throwing up. It really stinks, especially if I have to nurse right before dinner.

Yes that has happened to me quite a few times.. I have had to unlatch the poor child and use the bathroom while he cried! I felt bad but sometimes you just gotta go lol

i have that. i always attributed it to the relaxin that is released while bf? idk, but i get the pee one more than the poop one.

I was short of breath for the first week after I had Kara. I still get tired/winded easily. I think it's from the blood loss. I've been taking my vitamin every day and am slowly improving. I've also been pretty gassy lately, but I don't know if it's related to breastfeeding. I've had loose bowels too. May very well be related to bf'ing hormones.

Hope you feel better.
