Help 30# of organic carrots. Are they garbage?

Yesterday I spent 5 hours chopping, blanching and dividing 30 #s of carrots into separate freezer bags to freeze for the winter.
I finished at 5:30 and put all of them into a laundry basket for DH to take down to the freezer in the basement freezer.

I came down to 8 this morning to find the basket still sitting there.
Are they garbage?

Open a bag and sniff.

If the carrots were dry when packed, they should be fine. Carrots are hardy. However if they smell 'off' (in other words, not just carrot-y) then they're probably bad.

If they pass the sniff test but you're still not sure, take a bite of one. If it passes the taste test, it's good.

i agree carrots are pretty durable. if they are rubbery you could puree for soups. i don't see anyone getting sick from them.

I agree -- puree and use for soups and sauces.
