Can I get a hug?
Today I'm waiting for my birth kit to arrive. It was supposed to be here yesterday, but according to the FedEx website, it was just loaded on the truck for delivery this morning.
Meanwhile, I think this kid may have dropped into my pelvis because all of a sudden it feels like I'm walking around with a bowling ball between my legs. I'd never thought about it much before (DD didn't drop very far until labor), but this is really uncomfortable.
DH forgot to refill the water pitcher in the fridge. That shouldn't be that big a deal but we have one of those multi-gallon dispenser units that's too unwieldy for me to lift and carry when I'm this clumsy into pregnancy. And we don't have any ice either because we bought a bunch of meat on sale this past week and had to rearrange the freezer and the ice trays are still on the counter.
Then DD was playing with a tape measure (the huge kind that carpenters use--I think it measures to 25 or 50 feet) and wanted me to hold it. I told her no because I was in the middle of typing something, but she pushed it toward me and caught one of my fingertips between the tape measure and the edge of the laptop. This was about an hour ago and my finger is still throbbing.
Later DD went to get a drink out of the refrigerator and somehow knocked my container of supplements out onto the floor. She lost about half a dozen of them and I had to re-sort them all out for the week (I keep them in one of those daily pill containers with the individual pockets for each day).
And DH has to work all day, so I get to deal all this by myself today.
Oh, and did I mention it's my birthday?
And it's not even noon yet.
Thanks for reading. If you've made it this far, I appreciate it.
Back to welcoming of new babies.
