diaper pails - what do you use?

i'm wondering what mommas think of sealed diaper pails?
has any one used one? i've had it recommended to me, but it sounds like sealing in the smell would be stinkier in the long run.

are regular pails/trashcan with a liner, better?

Are you talking about one for cloth diapers? If so, I would say a regular lidded (but not sealed) trash can with a large wet bag as a liner works rather well. I love being able to use the foot pedal to open the lid of the can and just pull the bag out and schlep it down to the wash. I wash the inside of the trash can every couple of months and keep a fresh wave thing in there. We don't have any odor problems (according to guests). HTH!

I just used a Sterilite garbage pail without a lid or liner. After I would drop the dipes and wipes into the washing machine, I would rinse the pail out in the bath tub and spritz with Bac-Out. I never had a problem with diaper pail odor.

I use a 13-gallon trash can from Target - it was under $20. It has a lid, but isn't sealed. I've paired it with a WAHMIES pail liner and so far, so good. BTW, I have two pail liners so I can put one in the pail while the other is in the wash.

I use a Simple Human trash can with the wet bag inside. I love just using the foot pedal and it keeps the odor down.

I also have a wet bag with an elastic loop on it that I leave hanging on a door knob. It's been great, too!

We use a Simple Human trash can with a foot peddle. We spent a lot on the trash can, but it looks great and works even better than we imagined. We use a nice black wet bag in it.

I also just use a simple trash can. It has a lid, but I usually leave it open, because it smells less that way. i use a basic cotton liner inside that I just toss in the wash with everything else... And I keep two pails. One in the bedroom for wet dipes, one in the laundry/bathroom for poopy ones (for big kid poops. Doesn't matter for my ebf babe).

I use a regular trash can (with foot pedal) and a WAHMIES pail liner. No problems with stink here!

I use a simple Rubbermaid trash can with foot pedal and a basic pail liner. The lid doesn't close tightly and I haven't had a problem with stink. I've used this container for a number of purposes over the years (trash can, laundry hamper) but it's serving as a diaper pail now.

I used a regular plastic type laundry hamper lined with a cloth diaper pail liner like this. http://www.containerstore.com/shop/w...uctId=10025587 but I just got mine from like target I think. I found circulation a much better choice.
