Time4learning

Is it worth it? My 6yr old DD loves computer based learning, so I'm thinking about supplementing with some like time4learning.
Like it? Hate it? Other suggestions?

we used it & liked it well enough. some people hate it though. i'd recommend the free trial. they give you access to one grade above and one grade below....so i signed my then 1st grader up for 2nd grade....that gave her access to science and social studies in 2nd and 3rd. she loved those videos. we no longer use it, but it was good while it lasted.

ETA - for other suggestions, i love brainpopjr.com or brainpop, bookflix, and unitedstreaming.com (which is free to homeschoolers in some states. it is in mine). i also have free resources listed at my blog under fav. resources. they aren't as good imo, but they're free. hth.

My 3 kids use it about 3 days a week to so that I can work 1:1 with each of them. They like it and so do I. I hear alot about egghead, so I might try that one next year to see how that one is.

How does one get into unitedstreaming? Or is everything for HSers already available without signing in?

yes, maybe she was talking about reading eggs

for united streaming, it's available to homeschoolers for free in these states:

i live in SC, and i had to email & ask for my password. here's the info for SC:

for other states, i don't know how you access your password though. i'm sure you could ask other homeschoolers or google it though.

we really love it!!
