EBF 3 month old with eczema

Hello! My 8 year old has had eczema since he was about 1...I can't seem to get rid of it. Now my 3 month old is starting to get a little. She's EBF so I'm assuming it's something in my diet. I plan on removing foods and keeping a log. Is dairy the first thing I should remove? Or gluten? How long do I remove the food before reintoducing it? I've just been applying coconut oil to it for right now since I don't want to use prescription meds or over the counter junk with petroleum/chemicals in it. Any suggestions on what I should use on it? If you have any advice (or links to info) I would appreciate it. Thank you so much!

For us eczema is usually from food allergies that I am eating. My 3 month old gets it from dairy (other than raw goat yogurt), soy, processed foods, eggs, oats, sweet potatoes, cod, almonds. I usually make homemade sourdough bread and he is fine, but the other day I bought some "sourdough" bread form the srore, and he got all congested after nursing and got a small eczema rash on his leg. He also has issues from chicken that was over fed soy.

The way we determine these allergies is from trial and error, but mostly from dowsing. I find it very accurate.

Log is great idea (do one for your son as well). The top 4 food intolerances are dairy, gluten, soy, and corn. Corn and egg seem to be big eczema triggers. Eczema can be from food allergies, seasonal allergies, or food intolerances. Have you had your 8 year old tested for IgE allergies for his eczema?

My dd's was vax and food related. It started after her 2 month shots and just got worse from there. She is allergic to eggs and nuts. So anything with those in it either as a ingrediant or as a contamination causes flares.

DS's eczema as a baby was caused by wheat/gluten.

DS1 had eczema from about 4 months on (he was EBF at that point). He was later diagnosed with an egg allergy. However, removing egg from my diet didn't seem to relieve it. He's now 3 1/2 and has been eczema free for about a year.

My oldest had eczema pretty much from birth. His was (and still is) caused by food and environmental allergens.

He's always had crazy high IgE levels (we've been monitoring since he was 9 months old).

Children are born with a predominant Th2 branch of the immune system which predisposes them to allergic reactions like eczema. And then as they mature, the Th1 branch should become more predominant. Vaccines suppress the Th1 branch and make the Th2 branch more dominant. I'd avoid vaccines and don't introduce any grains until after 1 year old. They are hard to digest. My EBF daughter had eczema as a newborn and it 99% vanished by the time she was 9 months old and the little bit of it left over then vanished a few months later. She's been clear of it for well over a year and she eats everything now and is almost 2 and we're still breastfeeding. She's unvaccinated and never had any antibiotics, so I think that helps too. I also had her on cod liver oil since she was 5 months old. I eliminated common allergens (dairy, gluten, eggs, and I already avoid soy and some other items that dowsing told me to avoid) from my diet for 2 months when she was 5 to 7 months old and it didn't help at all. I do believe in dowsing for indicating foods that are ok and not ok to eat but I just didn't notice any improvement with her eczema. When I started drinking raw cow's milk again when she was 8 months old, her eczema got better and then vanished. Within a few months I was back to eating all the foods that I was avoiding and she remained fine. I don't know if its right but my personal theory is that her eczema was linked to my heavy metal toxicity because I had a hair elements test done and I have elevated levels of cadmium, aluminum, lead, arsenic, tin and although mercury wasn't showing as high, I used to have 8 mercury amalgams in my mouth for 10-15 years of my life, but had them removed a few years ago.

My son is 14 months and has had it since birth.

He has a dairy and an egg allergy. I have eliminated those from our diet and it is looking much better, though it hasn't gone away it is manageable.

Thanks for all of the repiles.

My daughter is unvaxed. I was planning on eliminating both dairy and gluten form my diet before I noticed her eczema so I'll work on that. Anything I should put on it ither than cocnut oil? I hear EPO works well but I haven't tried that yet.

Are IgE allergies the intolerances/sensitivities or actual allergies? My son doesn't have actual allergies but tested postive on the ELISA test to many--over 25--food intolerances/sensitivities...gluten, dairy, soy, oats, coconut, corn, rice, egg white, etc. He has autism and I feel that his autism/allergies were caused in part by vax, antibiotics, and my metal toxicity.

My dd isn't prone to eczema at all, but has had two little patches of it in the past year. The first went away when I increased the folate in our (my) diet (my theory was low methyl groups) and the second went away when I gave her molybdenum directly (my theory was impaired sulfoxidation). Both would flare randomly, and I bet I could have figured out some food triggers, but addressing the nutrient deficiencies has taken care of the issue.

IgE is an actual allergy. IgG is sometimes referred to as an intolerance, but they're really not sure of the intolerance reaction.
