I got 4 turkey drumsticks on sale today. I've never made them before. How would you do it? Also, can I add them to my chicken bones to make chicken stock?

I haven't made them, but I've made stock w/ beef bones and chicken bones mixed and it came out ok. (Worked fine, flavor was ok.) I'm sure you could do it if you don't mind a slight change in flavor...

I too have some turkey drumsticks...I think my plan is next time I pull out some meat from the freezer to bake in the oven I am going to pull the turkey out to defrost as well...Then bake it plain and once cooled take the turkey off the bone and use it as either taco meat, burrito filling or as a turkey stew (same as chicken...but with turke )

I once served them for a "barbarian" meal... just roasted them (in foil, I think) in the oven, and then everyone had their own leg to gnaw on. It was fun.

I would happily toss them in the chicken stock pot. I figure they're cousins, so it's all good.

I do it all the time. Just about every time I make broth.
