Tax questions: What years for pre-tax/flex spending?

DH's pre-tax/flex spending account says we can use it for nursery school but not kindergarten on up. So in Montesorri would that mean ages 3 & 4 are "nursery school" and 5 is kindergarten or is it all one program (ages 3 - 6 for nursery school). I'm sure I need to check with the account program and maybe M school.

Just wondering if anyone has used this type of account for tuition if there is anything I need to know before estimating our next year's contribution?

Thanks!

I would think if your child is eligible for public Kindergarten in your area, then it's Kindergarten. But if they are not eligible for public Kindergarten, then it's preschool. At least that's how I would do it.

Once they would be in kindergarten if they went to public school it's my understanding you can't use flex spend for the school tuition. But you can still use it for after-school care if they break that out in the tuition statement.
Also, at my workplace at least, the flex spend is on a calendar year basis rather than a school year basis, so the year dd starts kindergarten in the fall we'll still be able to get the full flex spend amount for the year (because we'll pay >5k between January and September)
