Need help with my ring sling

It's a Dr Sears btw -

It was fine when ds was a newborn, but he's 3mo now and 16 pounds and he seems so heavy. I've tried adjusting it, but he's either hanging too low or he's squishing my breasts. Where should he be?

It's also pulling on my neck. My upper back is straining too. I love carrying him in it and he loves it, but it's tiring me out

Can anyone help us?

Hmm...
When my lo's got heavier I found that unless they were snuggled under my neck that I had to adjust them slightly to one side.
The *ring* should sit on your chest right at about the posistion of a broach. The strap should rest on your shoulder and not so close to your neck (this should alleviate the strain you're feeling)
Also, when you adust you should be pulling slightly more on the tab area that pulls up under his bottom.
I hope you can find a way to make this work! I loved my ring slings and was able to carry all my lo's into toddler-hood

ETA: if your lo has enough neck strength you can also put him forward facing. Hold him that way, slip the sling over you both and adust to him so he's sitting sort-of crossed legged.
