My 5yo DD has always slept with me. In fact, at night she nurses just for a few seconds then asks to hold both of my hands while she falls asleep. During the night we let go of each other and I can roll over, but she must touch me. She'll pull her knees up and touch my back with them (not so comfy) or she'll wedge her hands between my back and the mattress (kinda nice). I am 3 mos pregnant with our second child who will definitely sleep with me (my husband sleeps in another room because he snores so loud that no one else can sleep near him). I really enjoy the very close, snuggly relationship that we have and although I know at least our nighttime snuggle routine will have to change when the new baby comes, I don't want to lose it alltogether. I need to find a way to help her get ready to share me with another person. I've thought about putting a pillow between us telling her that it helps my body to be more comfortable while I sleep. Whadaya think? Any other suggestions?
