New Here - Long Intro

Hi. I've been to this board many times. It always has great information and discussions. I finally decided to join. My name is Talia. I am married to Michael and we have four daughters (Kaeli-12, Kass-8, Jaedyn-6, and Natalie-2) and we are expecting another little girl in January. We have also gone through 5 miscarriages.

Although I have always used a midwife, the girls have all been delivered at a hospital. This time, we're using a midwife and hoping for a homebirth.

We have always co-slept with our girls for the first year and all of them were breastfed beyond a year. With our last daughter, we discovered cloth diapers and after a small vaccination scare, we decided to start delaying and selecting which ones our girls will be getting.

After my 4th miscarriage, we discovered I had a folic acid deficiency (compound heterozygous for MTHFR mutations). I also had a very high ANA positive, but all other tests turned out normal. So, I take the extra folic acid and baby aspirin. I still had a miscarriage after that, so I'm not convinced that the MTHFR caused them.

Thanks for reading my long intro. I look forward to getting to know some of you.
