Does nursing at night rot my DD's teeth?

Ok mamas I swear i saw a thread similar before but I can't find it.
DD has just cut her first tooth! and another one is closely following. So i open one of the lame parenting books i received as a gift and according to it I have to stop night nursing or letting her sleep attached to my boob because it will rot her teeth?

Is that really true? DD loves to nurse a lot at night and I usually just sleep through half of it? Anyone have any info on it? I can't find any on kellymom and am currently searching around for something I can use!

No, usually night-nursing is not harmful at all. I've night-nursed my kids for at least 2 years each w/o any tooth decay at all. (In fact both older dds are cavity-free even now.)

I think I read that there are sometimes issues for some kids, but that if their teeth are kept clean (no other food particles in mouth at bedtime) then BM by itself won't cause problems.

This article states that breastmilk actually has antibodies that attack the bacteria that cause tooth decay and for children with soft enamal, weaning could increase the rate of decay without this antibody.
