What do you like best on your newborn?

I made the switch to cloth when my youngest was 3 or 4 months old. I never really have had a newborn in cloth. I am now due with a new baby in May and am wondering what you like best for your newborn so that I can start to stock up. This is probably my last baby, so I don't want to go crazy on a stash of newborn things, but whatever you found easy and comfortable for your babies would be great!!! Thank you!

I was very happy with prefolds and some Bummi covers.

prefolds for sure on a newborn, my daughter didn't wear anything else until she was about 4-5 months old. they just fit better, and are easy to wash/dry since they go through them so fast! we liked the Thirstys covers, and the Bummis

We've been doing prefolds with Thirsties covers (starting with XS, though he's outgrown them already!) since our guy was born. He was a big newborn-- about 9 lbs-- so the covers fit him right away.

We were big on prefolds for Newborns. I think they are just easier to manipulate and fold to the correct size. I was all over the place in terms of covers. Bummis, Imse Vimse, Thirsties, Mother-ease. Whatever was cute.

Yup - prefolds for us, with a combo of Thirsties and wool covers (homemade). Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

I loved using Kissaluvs Size 0 when my daughter was a newborn. We used them without a cover for a couple of weeks, because every newborn cover we tried hit and bloodied her stump. Once her stump fell off and her belly button healed, we continued the Kissaluvs, but also used prefolds with x-small Thirsties, Bummis, ProRaps covers and x-small BumGenius.
